 I spoke with this courier, Ben, about how Kiva’s 0% interest microloans could help delivery workers access the equipment and financial support they need. Because I noticed he was on a rented bike, we discussed the possibility of using a loan to purchase a bike or e-bike, but he explained that renting works better for him because seven of his past bikes have been stolen, and renting allows him to avoid the risk of losing such a major investment. Even though a loan was not the right fit for him personally, he connected strongly with Courier Connect’s mission and offered to share my services with his network of fellow couriers who may benefit from affordable financing and support.
